Artistic work

My artistic work runs like a red thread through my life. Music has accompanied me since my youth and always served me as a balance besides sports. I learned to play the accordion and then the church organ. Making music with hands and feet on the organ had immediately captivated me, especially through the music of J.S. Bach. Before starting my military service, I completed the D-qualification for church instrumental playing and was active as a part-time organist for 15 years. During my military service I also played the trumpet in a music corps, an instrument that has always fascinated me as well. I was equally fascinated by photography, which has accompanied me from my youth to the present day and trained my eye for interesting motifs from an early age.

I only became more intensively involved with the fine arts during my studies in economics. My great uncle Richard Ziegler (painter, draftsman and graphic artist - www.richardziegler.de) and his daughter Cornelia Ziegler (draftswoman and illustrator in Basel - www.corneliaziegler.ch) have always been my role models and source of inspiration.

As a further balance to the professional activity, I finally began to draw and occupied courses in oil painting with the

painter and sculptor Wolfram Diehl (www.wolf-kunst.de). However, my job as a "breadwinner" left less and less time for

artistic activities. Nevertheless, I continued my education in various courses as well as self-taught. In 201 4 I began to work

further with the material wood and took courses at the sculpture school Geisler-Moroder (www.schnitzschule.com

theory and carving courses with the chainsaw.

In the meantime, I can schedule more time in life for painting and the production of wood sculptures and

thus also develop my artistic work more intensively.
